Having worked for larger national and international food businesses, Andrew took the plunge and started the business in 2010. With a degree in Food Marketing Sciences and an MBA from Durham University, complementing his 32 years in the food industry Andrew has a wealth of knowledge across food manufacturing.
Jonathan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000. Having initially worked in practice he moved into industry, 15 years of which have been in food manufacturing. In addition to the financial function, Jonathan also looks after IT. Jonathan was a founding Director of Abbeydale.
Over his 30 years in the food industry Richard has worked for some of the biggest companies and brand names. He has experience across both branded and own label sales in frozen, chilled and ambient across all sales channels. Richard heads up our sales team as well as NPD and purchasing.
With a degree in Economics from Lancaster, Ian has worked in operational roles in the food industry for over 25 years. He has worked for some of the biggest names in own label in both ambient and chilled in planning, operational management and Continues Improvement (CI). Ian is responsible for the Saxon site looking after operations, technical, engineering, planning/supply chain and HR.

Having over 20 years of experience within the food industry, James returned to the UK from the USA in 2015 to dedicate his passion for food to manufacturing. He is a dedicated sales professional working across multiple foodservice/B2B sectors with emphasis on providing the highest level of service to his clients.
Sales Manager (Convenience, Discount, Wholesale, Cash & Carry)
David has over 10 years’ experience in FMCG working on some of the biggest brands in the UK selling across several channels as well as experience with challenger brands and many NPD launches. David is now specialising in the wholesales cash & carry / retail convenience and discount channel as well as managing our chilled snacking portfolio.
Richard started his career as a chef and worked in some of the UKs most respected kitchens before gaining a BSc in Food & Consumer Management. Richard’s passion for food and creativity has remained with him and can be seen running through all of his work.
With a BSc in Food Science, Jon has worked in the technical functions for a number of national and international produce manufacturers. With an eye for detail Jon and his team have helped the business achieve the highest technical standards and accreditation.
